Manny Pacquiao is the new WBC (World Boxing Council) and RING Super Featherweight Champion. Last Saturday, March 15, 2008, Pacquiao won by split decision in a classic boxing 12-round battle. This fight represented the long awaited rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez, for the WBC Super Featherweight title.
Manny Pacquiao is a professional boxer from the Philippines. This win added to his long list of boxing world championship titles from his past. These included: IBF Super Bantamweight and WBC Flyweight divisions. Pacquiao is the first Asian boxer to have won three titles in three different weight divisions.
