Pacquiao Knocks Out Hatton In Second Round

Manny Pacquiao wasted no time in his fight with Ricky Hatton. Pacquiao’s right hand was just too strong in the first round and his left hand was too strong in the second as each hand took down the UK Boxing champ proving that Pacquiao is the greatest pound for pound fighter in the world. It only took Pacquiao six minutes to take down the challenger from the west. East wins again!

  • BuzzerBeeser – thanks for the comment. I think the media is partly to blame for that. If you were able to watch HBO’s Special 4 Part Episodes on Pacquiao vs. Hatton http://www.filipinobuzz.com/celebrity-news/pacquiao-vs-hatton-hbo-tv-series/ you’ll know that they made Paquiao look too relaxed and laid back; possibly not preparing enough for the fight when compared to Hatton. There was no doubt from the Philippine’s corner that their boy would win; I didn’t think that it would be over so quick either.

  • Quick analyzer si pacman, not to mention na accurate (57% of his punches landed on hatton) and his improved right punches. Inunahan ni Pacman si Hatton, kea before he knew it, it was over.

    Mabuhay ang Pinoy!

  • Xander – Thank you for your comment. you’re right, his right punches, those hooks especially, were just too good! its amazing how quickly he can deliver those punches and dodge right afterwards. Pacquiao is a great Filipino!

  • I was expecting the fight to go midway and end it with Pacquiao knocking off Hatton but 2nd round? In the Philippines, movie houses that showed this fight were filled. Paying 500 pesos or more for a fight that lasted that short isn’t really worth it. But of couse, with Pacquiao winning the fight very dominantly, we didn’t really regret paying 500 to watch the fight on the big screen 🙂
