The Bisayan & Friends Cultural Society of Calgary is growing well. With the success of the 2nd Annual Christmas Party held last December 8, 2007 at the Portuguese Community Centre (4747 30th St. SE), 500 tickets were sold out a month before the event. The tickets were so in demand that there were many who wasn’t able to buy one.
The Philippine Consul was even there in the party making a speech for moral support. The next Christmas party will anticipate a crowd of a thousand.

A warm hello! My name is Paulina Constancia, an artist originally from the island of Cebu, in the Philippines now a permanent resident of Calgary.
I am writing you because I will be having an exhibition entitled “On A Warmer Note” a collection of mixed-media art celebrating man, music and sun.
