This coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday August 14th and 15th 2010, come down to SAIT’s Orpheus Theatre to watch HIT THE FLOOR “DONT SLEEP” Dance Crew Competition (Saturday) and the B-BOY Battle at the Chinese Cultural Centre (Sunday).

Come out and play basketball at the 3 on 3 HOOPFEST tournament here in Calgary! Possibilities in Motion, a Filipino-Canadian foundation, is looking for 16 teams to play on Saturday, August 21st at Bishop McNally High School.

Registration Requirements & Deadline:
15+ years old. Basketball team must have at least 2 Filipinos.
Register for 3-on-3 by August 14, 2010.

3 on 3 Hoopfest Day Schedule:
9:30 – Sign-in / Warm-up / Mingle
10:15 – Introduction of event and players, scheduled round-robin games begin
12:30 – Lunch and presentations
1:15 – 3-pt skills competition
2:00 – Scheduled round-robin games continues
3:30 – Play-offs begin
4:30 – Presentation of awards followed by mingling with music

This is a game like no other! Your team will be scheduled for games but there are lots to do while not playing – an open gym for other activities, food concessions, photography, mingling with music following the closing presentation, and moments where we hope to inspire you to support our foundation.

Divisions may be created based on gender, age, and skill level. A 3-pt skills fun competition will also be a highlight of the event.
